The studio facility is built into a standard commercial "bay" with an 11 foot wide roll up door a concrete floor. The ceiling is high -- 30 ft in the middle and about 20 ft along the perimeter of the space.

The walls and floor have been painted completely white. Eventually a track will be installed which can hold black or grey curtains in order to do low key shots.

Lights consist of multiple high power strobe monolights - two are mounted on rolling booms and one on a rolling tripod. Different softboxes are used depending on the scene - a large 3 x 4 ft box, a smaller 18 x 24 box and a narrow 8 x 36 inch box. I also use a grid attachment for a harder light and have a 20" beauty light which is a flat parabolic reflector which is harder than a softbox but not as hard as a bare bulb.

I often use a couple of large light modifier/reflectors to fill in the shadows. These have black, white and gold surfaces.

A recent addition is a Vornado 750 fan. This is helpful to get that nice windblown look that you see in many fashion shots and ads.
