I started photographing band concerts for a friend; it wasn't really my "thing." There was a lot to learn -- stay away from the mosh pit and get a good pair of earplugs. My first attempts weren't good - I eventually decided to use a telephoto lense and focussed on one member at a time to get more dramatic images.
