I had permission to use flash and have been experimenting with mixing the flash and available light. Too much flash and you get a very "flat" image that looks like a snap shot. With the flash I can stop down a bit and set my shutter speed faster -- 1/80 or even 1/125 which is essential with a 135 mm telephoto.
